Cambridgeshire construction students set to benefit from an educational trip to the Olympic park!

SmartLIFE have organised a trip to the Olympic park for students studying construction within the Cambridge area. The students will have the opportunity to look at the current construction practices taking place on site as they take a bus trip onto the live construction site.

The construction of all the new main venues and infrastructure in the Olympic park is well underway, all the Olympic stadium roof terracing and roof supports are now in place, the structure of the Aquatics centre roof is complete and the pylons that were dominating the landscape have now been removed and the power moved into two new 6km tunnels that have been excavated underneath the park.

There is still plenty of construction work going on for the students to experience and we look forward to hearing first hand how the trip went in January.
