The students witnessed first hand 'sustainability in action' at the BRE Innovation Park situated at the Garston site in Watford.  The students were able to walk around the Innovation Park with a trained ambassador looking at the many showcase low carbon houses, including the winner of the 2007 home for the future design award - The Barratt Green House.

The second leg of the visit includes a tour around a Fusion Building Systems site, looking at the construction of 10 blocks of steel frame housing, this gives the students an opportunity to go on a live site and experience the construction in difference phases of completion.

However due to an accident on the M25 we failed to make it to the site on this occasion..... we will be looking to get the students back on site as soon as possible to complete the tour!
